![]() If you have the money and the time for the skills i would go CS. I would say it is alright, except for the booster going for 1.5bil on contracts. Probably give both Claymore and Sliepnir a go around once i'm able. I fully intend on working my way into my leadership skills for the warfare links, get as much outta my ships as I can. If your willing to work on your leadership skills and actually fit the command links (unlike most setups I see around) they are amazing ships and your corpmates will love you. But in the grand scheme of things, they suck because of their terrible cost-effectiveness. If you're well off, CS are good choices for small gangs. The only thing I dislike about the sleipnir is that it is hard to fit tackle on it without gimping your tank, ironically enough the Claymore has the extra midslot that allows just this.Īmarr Digital Fury Corporation Digital Renegades Put simply the sleipnir rocks, in my opinion it's the best AC gank boat around at the moment. The extra falloff adds a lot more to your damage then you may realise, it basically means you can afford to use EMP in situations where you'd be stuck using barrage on the hurricane. I fly a sleipnir and a hurricane, trust me there is a big difference between the two, the sleipnir gets the falloff range bonus (Same bonus the vagabond gets), this makes a huge difference to your dps, to compete the hurricane needs to use ambit extension rigs, further weakening it's tank. Just dont look at the performance difference between a sleip and a cane or you will feel bad (ie not a huge difference). Claymore is also good if you're looking at the fleet boosting role (though by you're post i'd say the sleip wld suit you more). You're in luck, the sleip is about the only ship that can fit a warfare link and still run a viable pvp setup. Skirmish Warfare Link - Evasive Maneuvers Skirmish Warfare Link - Interdiction Maneuvers Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 800Ĥ25mm AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive Or you could hop into a Claymore if you like big gang fights and logistics ships (you might be sitting at a POS though). Your rapier pilots and tacklers will love the Sleipnir you bring on roams. Spaztick Canadian Imperial Armaments Veritas Immortalis ![]() There's been alot of changes i've come to see, and am wondering if these ships are still viable or if i'm better off lookin into something else. I like to be versatile and I figured that Commandships with the Warfare links might be a good path for me, and was the original path i was going to take up before my time off of the game. ![]() ![]() I'm not planning on getting into the huge fleet battles, more of a gang/semi-soloist when it comes to PvP. I fly Minmatari, working on Cruiser 5 atmthe into T2 Med AC/Arty. Heyas, i'm just back into the game after a long layoff and am trying to decide on which ships I want to end up flying. ![]() Thread Statistics | Show CCP posts - 0 post(s) EVE Search - Command Ships still a good choice?Ĭhannels Ships and Modules Command Ships still a good choice? » Click here to find additional results for this topic using Google ![]()
